Borneo Football Cup 2013: BJSS remain unbeaten

Published on Daily Express: Saturday, September 28, 2013 Kota Kinabalu: Bukit Jalil Sports School stayed unbeaten after the end of fourth round in the 2013 Borneo Cup Under-15 football tournaments held at the Penampang Stadium on Friday. The team who scored 21 goals on the first day continued their great run in the competition with two more wins including the top of the table clash with St. George FA from Sydney, Australia where they won 2-0 in the afternoon. They had earlier in the morning session edged last year's losing finalist Tabs 1-0. With four wins in a row, the Bukit Jalil Sports School are top on the table with a maximum 12 points followed by St George FA with nine points after they beat SMK Terusan Sugut team 2-1 in the morning for their third win of the competition. In third place were defending champions DPM Sports School who won both their matches on Friday against Madora Bay 7-0 and SMK Terusan Sugut 2-0 to finish with seven points from two wins, one draw and a loss. Their closest rivals, Tabs also have seven points after their 1-0 win over Madora Bay on Friday afternoon following their 0-1 defeat to Bukit Jalil Sports School in the morning session. However, they have to settle for fourth place as they have an inferior goal difference of six against DPM's seven. In fifth place were Madora Bay who pipped another winless team SMK Terusan Sugut with a better -19 goal difference against their opponent's -21. Three more matches will be held today at the UMS stadium starting with Madora Bay versus SMK Terusak School at 9am followed by St George FA against Tabs at 10am and Bukit Jalil Sports school against DPM Sports School at 11am. The playoff for third to sixth places will begin at 12.30pm followed by the final at 2.30pm.
