KOTA KINABALU: Bukit Jalil Sports School (BJSS) emerged champions of the Borneo Football Cup Under-15 tournament after cruising to an easy 6-0 victory over St George FA of Sydney, Australia in the final at the UMS Stadium yesterday.
The national sports school, who paraded its Under-14 team in the competition organised by Borneo Sports & Adventure Holidays, was just a class above their opponents as they concluded their challenge with an unbeaten record.
The squad, who also features in the ongoing national Minister of Education League Cup Under-17 category, started the final tie aggressively and blasted home four goals in the opening half, in a match that was played 20 minutes in each half.
After the break, they seemed to slow down their tempo, but still managed to score twice before the final whistle was blown.
